This old building was still being renovated when we visited last year on a painting trip in this area of France. A wet trip but it stayed dry for long enough to make some studies of this old building with its rich ochre walls and ancient timbers.

I was in the stable making some studies of the heavy horses and the farm dog came and joined me. The bar of sunlight illuminated that end of the shed and the colours and shapes made an interesting vingette.
